what happened since April 11th to change his mind?

For the Republican who does not want a President who leads by polls, Mitt Romney is not their guy.

So far, Mitt has shown his ability to out flip flop John Kerry by reversing his positions on abortion, gay marriage and most of the policies of his tenure as Massechucetts Governor. And now Mitt has "done it again" by declaring that this nation "is on the wrong track."

Specifically, Romney said ; "We're going to change the course of America," Romney told about 800 donors gathered for a pep rally at the Boston Red Sox's Fenway Park."It's on a course right now that's just not quite right. We've got a lot of problems around the world that need our leadership as a nation. We're going to have to get ourselves back on track again..."

But just this April, Romney was onboard as far as our world leadership was concerned. In fact, he saw us as fortunate in having the leadership in President Bush that we had.

"'We are fortunate today to have a president who loves America, who acts solely out of a desire to protect her and to promote liberty around the world,' Mr. Romney said in a speech he delivered at the George Bush Presidential Library on April 11th of this year.

So, what exactly changed for Mitt in the last 7 or 8 weeks? Maybe he got a look at some fresh polls.

Not many choices left. That rules out democrats and another Republican.

Mitt is jut admitting what the vast majority of Americas believe and the results show about the direction Bush has taken our country. Sounds like a GOOD reason to consider supporting him!

sorry col...i think i'd rather go with someone who realized we were off track a while ago.

Good call, Sean Conners. I would rather go with someone who thinks we're on the right track. Only they could be crazy enough to kill all the terrorists in the world.

Ahhh Mitt get's the coveted COL Gene "Kiss of Death" endorsment.

Standing at the polls the one thing that will guarantee a candidate will not get a vote is the fact that COL Gene liked them. (Note to the COL : Endorsing everyone but Hillary might help elect her).

i fear more someone who actually thinks they can kill every terrorist in the world, catch terrorism "in a bag" so to speak.

it just sounds to me like mitt may have flopped

but to flip flop he would have to say tomorrow the oppisite of what he said today and then do it again the next day.

that is what kerry did and does.

but i agree mitt will not make a good pres.

Now it is Sen. Lugar that is saying it is time for us to withdraw from Iraq. When people with the experience and stature of Sen. Lugar split with Bush you know the game is OVER!

You should really move to Virginia.  We have a constant election cycle as the years we are not voting for feds, we are voting for States.  We just had our primary in preparation for the November elections.  4 (I think) state senators got the boot.  One got the boot because he was a democrat and supported a Republican last year.  The other 3 got the boot because the latest clown to occupy the State Capitol, after promising to not raise taxes during the election, has tried twice now to do just that (it took him 6 hours to break that promise).

The only reason taxes were not raised was due to the House of Delegates.  The senate went along with him, and the voters booted some (and almost the majority leader - he survived by a handful of votes) for that fact.  If the latest incompetancy of the doofuss in the capitol has done nothing else, he has livened up the political process here.

So we in the old Dominion do not have to pay attention to a bunch of dwarves running around and pontificating (when in 7 months, most will be only a Jeopardy question).

That is why I am not going to get exited or angry over who is running or saying what.  It will come out in January, February and March (when the campaigns go nasty) and then in the General election - 17 months from now.
