The headlines about them are, of course, entirely wrong.

It is not essential that a past president, bullied and sandbagged by a monkey posing as a newscaster, finally lashed back.

It is not important that the current President’s portable public chorus has described his predecessor’s tone as “crazed.”

Our tone should be crazed. The nation’s freedoms are under assault by an administration whose policies can do us as much damage as al Qaida; the nation’s marketplace of ideas is being poisoned by a propaganda company so blatant that Tokyo Rose would’ve quit.

Nonetheless. The headline is this:

Bill Clinton did what almost none of us have done in five years.

He has spoken the truth about 9/11, and the current presidential administration.

"At least I tried," he said of his own efforts to capture or kill Osama bin Laden. "That’s the difference in me and some, including all of the right-wingers who are attacking me now. They had eight months to try; they did not try. I tried."

Thus in his supposed emeritus years has Mr. Clinton taken forceful and triumphant action for honesty, and for us; action as vital and as courageous as any of his presidency; action as startling and as liberating, as any, by any one, in these last five long years.

The Bush Administration did not try to get Osama bin Laden before 9/11.

The Bush Administration ignored all the evidence gathered by its predecessors.

The Bush Administration did not understand the Daily Briefing entitled "Bin Laden Determined To Strike in U.S."

The Bush Administration did not try.

Moreover, for the last five years one month and two weeks, the current administration, and in particular the President, has been given the greatest “pass” for incompetence and malfeasance in American history!

President Roosevelt was rightly blamed for ignoring the warning signs—some of them, 17 years old—before Pearl Harbor.

President Hoover was correctly blamed for—if not the Great Depression itself—then the disastrous economic steps he took in the immediate aftermath of the Stock Market Crash.

Even President Lincoln assumed some measure of responsibility for the Civil War—though talk of Southern secession had begun as early as 1832.

But not this president.

To hear him bleat and whine and bully at nearly every opportunity, one would think someone else had been president on September 11th, 2001 -- or the nearly eight months that preceded it.

That hardly reflects the honesty nor manliness we expect of the executive.

"At least I tried,"

That is total BS. How do you explain that on many more than one occasion the Clinton administration had the oportunity to take Osama out and didn't?

The whole philosophy of hindsight judgements is just stupid. Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda. Does it really matter? You can't change it. We can just deal with the reality we have now. Does pointing fingers at Clinton, G.W. Bush or Bush Sr. or how about who is really to blame Osama Bin Laden change the facts?

i have,,,look at some of my articles from 2004 like "richard clarke is credible, here's why" and troll somewhere else please.

when clinton did try, he was accused of wagging the dog by the GOP, including john ashcroft, then a senator from mo.

now they wanna rewrite history and say he was distracted by the lewinski thing and not doing anything, which is a lie according to the 9/11 commission...and also, can't have it both ways folks.

What was clintons response after the first WTC attack on U.S. ground? Maybe you can tell me how many times he visited the blast site also?

You remind me a lot of col jihad. You keep claiming not be a democrat, but you sure do defend them a lot.

his response was to bring the bombers to justice ..he tried other things, but was accused of "wag the dog" tactics when he did try to kill bin laden. the 9/11 commission backs that up.

and as far as my defense,,,in the last month or so alone, i've defended several republicans including rick santorum today in reference to him getting sandbagged by a stalker. and if you go "pre bush II administration" you'll find i defend a lot of people from all over the political spectrum when i think they deserve it.

keep me out of your hack-pundit classifications and faux news tag lines.

you are just full of nonsense!

last note,,,clinton lives and works in new york and has been spotted there many times...he doesn't go there for photo-ops like others tho.

You didn't answer the question. What was his respone to the first WTC attack? Why didn't he fight back? How many times did he visit the blast site?

While at the same time attacking him on several other things.

Amazing that you are complaining about being attacked from me. When did I use profanity at you? I guess you are a democrat...."do as I say, not as I do".

"Bringing the bombers to justice" was not an answer. Why didn't he raid the terrorist training camps after that bombing? How many times did he visit the blast site? Why did not kill bin laden when he had the multiple chances?

oh, island dog,,,give this up,,,,read your history (like the 9/11 commission report, which i own and refer to regularly) and the grasping at straws with the "profanity" charge (is ass really profanity?) is an act of desperation.

i'm tired of repeating myself,,,if you have anything new to add,,,let me know.

until then,,,,

have a nice day:)

Typical. Cut and run.

And the reports aren't complete until we know why Sandy Burglar stole the documents related to clintons dealing with terrorism.
