Mostly Nick vs. Amy This Week

Tonight, Donald Trump will hit the airwaves again and serve up another dose of my latest guilty pleasure, "The Apprentice. The show is now down to 5 contestants. The 5 are on one team Troy, the good ol boy salesman, Bill, the entrepenurial cigar store owner, and Kwame, the Harvard MBA and Goldman Sachs employee. This is the "Protege Corporation as they are known.

The other team, Versacorp, is made up of potential lovebirds Nick the toughjawed always closing salesguy and his partner Amy, girl who everyone loves and has a different hairstyle in every scene. Ironically, the girls in the competition, which origionally consisted of 8 women, won the 1st 4 competitions. Yet now, Amy is the only woman remaining after stabbing Katrina squarely in the back with a grin last week.

Tonight the teams venture into high end real estate. They have had a taste of this job thru an earlier episode where they renovated and rented a more modest property. Both the properties and the stakes this time will be much higher I am sure. And I predict this should put an end to the Nick and Amy romance that has gotten both of them this far. The only question that will remain in my opinion after tonight is who will be left standing between the two. despite their talents, in tonight's project, I expect they will be outmanned and gunned and therefore lose. The 2 of them won't be able to do as much as the other 3 and will end up in the boardroom.

So who will be left standing? Regardless of the performance, if these 2 end up there, Amy will have to survive. For a couple of pragmatic reasons. First, she has been the "pick" when teams have been forced to even up. Trump has even pointed this out as a positive for her. Also, she is the only woman left. Trump won't want to make it an all boys club before the finale. So Nick, if they don't win, will most definitely be hearing the phrase "you're fired."

If they somehow do pull off a win, then I still contend Kwame to be the weakest link on the other side. Although i'm having my doubts about Troy as a leader too. Of the 3, Bill is the only leader in the remaining group. Although's biggest blunder of the game came in the low stakes real estate round, I think this guy is smart enough to have learned lessons and win this one.

We shall see...
