Last Sunday, on Fox News Sunday, Condi Rice once again proved she has no grasp of reality.

If Congress were now to revise the Iraq authorization, she said, "… it would be like saying that after Adolf Hitler was overthrown, we needed to change, then, the resolution that allowed the United States to do that, so that we could deal with creating a stable environment in Europe after he was overthrown."

Ummm, Ms. Rice, we did have a new authorization after Hitler was overthrown...it was called the "Marshall Plan." It was named after the guy who used to hold YOUR office, Secretary of State, James Marshall. It authorized about 13 billion in funds to rebuild Europe.

Twelve billion, 400 thousand dollars to stabilize all of Europe economically, to keep the next enemies of freedom, the Russians, out and democracy in! And how do you suppose that happened? The President went back to Congress and asked it for a new authorization and for the money. And do you have any idea, Condi, who opposed him when he did that? The Republicans!

"We've spent enough money in Europe," said Sen. Robert Taft of Ohio.

"We've spent enough of our resources," said former President Hoover.

It's time to pull out of there! As they stand up, we'll stand down!

The secretary's résumé reads that she has a master’s degree and a Ph.D in political science. The host should have demanded to see them, immediately.

"The resolution that allowed the United States to" overthrow Hitler?

The problem with that analogy is that in 1941, December 11th, actually...4 days after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, 2 germans walked into our state department and handed our people a formal declaration of war on us by the Germans. They, Dr. Rice, didn't spend more than a year making up and cherry-picking evidence and mistaking German balloon-inflating trucks for mobile germ warfare labs. They didn't pretend the world was ending because a contained, low level thug couldn't hand over the chemical weapons it turned out he'd destroyed a decade earlier. The Germans walked up to the front door of our State Department and said, "We're at war." It was in all the papers.

Of course, Condi is only following the Vice President's lead of misinformation and newspeak. While he foolishly tries to paint Democrats as "allies of Al Qaeda" for even suggesting any reduction or redeployments of forces, he touts the British withdrawal as a "sign of success." He warns Congress to not cut off funds in Iraq but then goes to Pakistan and uses the Congress's power of the purse to threaten Musharrif.

To top it all off this week, we are learning via CNN's Wolf Blitzer and the New Yorker Magazine who are bringing to light Sy Hirsch's new findings which strongly suggest that the administration may be actually funding the people we are supposed to be fighting.

The report said..."Under Rumsfeld we've been running operations all over the world..." and explains that Bush and Rumsfeld claimed these were military and the president has the war power to do this.

The article reports that the US is working closely with Saudis, who see any enemy of a Shia as a friend, even extremist Sunni groups that have terrorist history or even connections with al Qaeda.

Hersh also speculated that former spy Chief Negroponte may have left his spy job to become assistant Secretary of State because there is a repeat of the Iran Contra happening and he wanted to avoid trouble-- since he was involved in Iran Contra and knew the risks.

Also...from a former senior intelligence officer,
"...we're financing a lot of bad guys with some serious potential unintended consequences. We don't have the ability to determine and get pay vouchers signed by the people we like and avoid the people we don't like. It's a very high-risk venture."

American, European, and Arab officials I spoke to told me that the Siniora government and its allies had allowed some aid to end up in the hands of emerging Sunni radical groups in northern Lebanon, the Bekaa Valley, and around Palestinian refugee camps in the south. These groups, though small, are seen as a buffer to Hezbollah; at the same time, their ideological ties are with Al Qaeda.

The article reports that the majority leader of the Lebanese Parlaiment, Saad Hariri paid tens of thousands of dollars to bail out four members of an Islamic militant group from Dinniyeh-- a group in which "many of the militants 'had trained in al Qaeda camps in Afghanistan.'"

The bottom line of the reports..."Money has gotten into jihadist hands-- groups that want to take on Hezbollah"

"America is using money not appropriated, without telling congress... Running covert operations, supporting groups, indirectly that were involved indirectly with 9/11.

If there is ANY substance to the reports, it is an absolute outrage!

The question remains that when will the American people, who are finally waking up to how this administration operates, will demand answers and transperency from them (and every administration). Of course, they will probably just ignore the people just as they do everyone else. The only difference is, that they can't just "replace" us like a general who won't support the administration's "faith based" conclusions that contradict reality...or can they?
